Behind the SLO Grilled Cheese Festival is Restorative Partners, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to transform lives impacted by crime through healing services and relationships in San Luis Obispo County.

We do so through facilitating programs in the county juvenile hall, our 5 sober living homes for men, women, and women with children, restorative justice conferencing and practices, mentorship, reentry programs, drug and alcohol counseling, community education, and more.

​

 

Restorative Partners believes:

• In accompanying and supporting anyone affected by crime on their healing journey, to be an instrument of restoration, of forgiveness, of accountability, and of reconciliation.

• That violence is never a solution to any problem and that every person is endowed with a sacred dignity, and is capable of changing, healing, and being restored.

• That everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

• That we can overcome violence with education, love, and compassion.

 

The goal in all our transformative work is to reduce violence and lower recidivism by providing wrap around services from incarceration through reincorporation into our community. Our restorative justice approach focuses on the whole person: mind, body, and spirit, incorporating trauma informed care, addressing responsibility and accountability, and offering accompaniment.
